Middleware Engineer

Position Description

– Middleware engineer should guide, perform, design and configuration middleware’s and integration infrastructure and platforms that support mission critical enterprise applications.
– Responsible for design, development, configuration, problem analysis, deployment and continuous operational improvement of middleware technologies.
– Partner with Developers and Architects in developing middleware configurations based on requirements.
– Automate the implementation and configuration of middleware and integration products using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools.
– Analyze current processes and develop steps to improve them and automate them where applicable.
– Monitor and manage performance and usage of the middleware environment.
– Develop and implement strategies and documentation for migration, consolidation, and upgrade of middleware and integration components.
– Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely and accurate manner to improve application performance and functionality.
– Responsible for the administration, maintenance, installation, and operation of middleware components.
– Perform daily operational tasks and system reviews to ensure proper execution of scheduled tasks, and resolution of issues and requests.
– Represent Infrastructure and IT Middleware department with respect to infrastructure needs and impacts for application development projects and business initiatives as needed.

Experience Required

– Extensive and broad based experience in the design, administration and support of Oracle WebLogic Server and or similar products in one or more client server environments (e.g. LINUX, UNIX). Experience in consolidating and virtualizing the environments.
– Experience in administering MuleSoft Anypoint suite, including Anypoint Platform, Anypoint Studio optional
– Experience with DevOps tools and concepts (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker) and how these fit in CI/CD pipelines preferred
– Experience working in Linux and Windows operating environments preferred
– Experience administering Apache OHS, Weblogic, IIS or similar middleware applications preferred
– Experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning of API/ESB/middleware components.
– Experience in Configuring Managing MuleSoft Anypoint platform including API Manager, Anypoint MQ, Management Console, Analytics, Logs – Experience in Creating, Configuring and Managing API Gateway and Managing API Policies, API Versioning, Contract Addition.
– Experience Managing Runtime Servers by performing restart /delete APIs.
– Experience troubleshooting issue by monitoring logs from backend servers also monitoring the server status over monitoring tools like Dynatrace.
– Experience in Managing Users, Roles, Security Policies, Certificates, Business Groups Experience in Automating application deployments using different DevOps tools like Jenkins.
– Responsible for resolving incidents and performance tuning requests utilizing critical thinking skills.
– Should have knowledge on Create and maintain documentation related to services, solutions, and interfaces.
– Should have experience in Scripting in Shell, Jython or Python

Education Required

BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
